1967 Sacramento, California. One the left is my paternal grandmother, Ruth Bressler Claycomb, on the right is my sister, Jean, with her two children. Grandma had a stroke the year after this was taken and was hospitalized until her death in 1972 (a lousy story in itself). Jeanie died at age 53. Her daughter is going to be 50 this year.
This is Jeanie’s son, Doug, (being held by Grandma in the first photo) with his son about 10 years ago. Doug and his wife will be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary soon. And the boy holding his hand is now a teenager.
Better get writing those family histories faster – they grow up so quickly!
